Our policies

What to expect before you book, written plainly. Ask us about anything that isn't here.

Booking and deposits

Book on our booking page, where you choose a session, a therapist and a time. Our longer sessions take a deposit that holds your time and goes toward the session, and you see it before you confirm. For anything else, call or send a message.

Canceling and running late

Please give us 24 hours to move or cancel. If you go into labor, feel unwell, or your doctor or midwife asks you to wait, tell us and we will move your visit. A late arrival shortens the session so the next client's time still starts on time.

If you miss an appointment

If you miss a visit without telling us, the deposit you paid, if there was one, is kept, and a card on file may be charged for the time we held. We would much rather hear from you, even at the last minute.

Children and companions

After the birth, bring your baby in a carrier or a car seat; we stop whenever you need to feed or hold them. Older children can't wait on their own, so please bring another adult. A partner or doula is welcome to wait in the front room.

Covering and draping

Wear whatever is comfortable. You are covered by a sheet the whole time, and only the part we are working on is uncovered; it is covered again when we move on. Your belly stays covered and supported with pillows. Our therapists work bare-handed.

Pressure, consent and stopping

Before we start we ask about pressure and any area to avoid. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, change position or end the session whenever you like, for any reason, and we stop right away.

When to ask your doctor first

Please ask your doctor or midwife before you book, and tell your therapist how far along you are. If your provider has asked you to wait, we wait for their go-ahead. After the birth we ask for your provider's go-ahead too. We do not diagnose.

Before your visit

Arrive about ten minutes early to settle in. Wear something loose, eat a little beforehand and bring water. We use an unscented oil or lotion unless you ask for another, and we can tell you every ingredient we use. Tell us about any allergy when you book.

If you're not happy

If a session wasn't right, tell us within a few days and we'll make it right.

Tipping

Tipping is welcome and never expected. You can add it when you pay, or hand it to your therapist.
