Birth and postpartum support
Doulas we work with
Many of our clients see a doula in the same week. These are the doulas we know and send people to. Bring yours, or ask us who to call.
- Birth doula
Maura Burke
Hillsborough and Chapel Hill. Works with families planning a birth at home or in a hospital, and meets them before the due date.
- Postpartum doula
Adalina Pedraza
Daytime and overnight help after the birth, in English and Spanish. Many of her families book a postpartum session with us.
- Birth and postpartum doula
Nala Burroughs
Orange County and Durham. Runs a monthly circle for new parents and sends people our way when they ask about massage.
How we work with your doula
Before the visit
Tell us on the booking page that your doula suggested a session. Your therapist will ask what she has told you about positions and pressure.
At the visit
Your doula is welcome for the first few minutes, to share what you would like. After that, the session is yours.
After the visit
Your therapist can write down what you worked on if you want to share it with your doula. We share nothing without your say.
